Poron® Urethane is a semi-closed cell sponge material that is manufactured black. Poron® Urethane offers the flexibility required by designers to solve their pressing problems, from a gasketing, cushioning and sealing perspective. A closed cell material with excellent compression set resistance, low out-gassing and non-fogging properties provides sealing solutions in a wide range of applications including vehicle gaskets and footwear. The compressibility set property of PORON® Urethane makes it a great choice in these industries.

PORON® And The Rogers Corporation
Jumping Into Foam
The Rogers Corporation was originally founded as a paper mill in 1832. The Corporation grew and diversified in the years that followed. During the 1970s and early 1980s, Rogers produced materials for microwave stripline circuitry and micromotion membrane keyboards. Even at this time, the product category PORON® had been formed.
In 2002, Rogers established itself as the only producer of specialty foams - Silicone, polyurethane and polyolefin. This material development included industrial and footwear applications of PORON® foam as well as being introduced for cell phone and other electronic applications where good sealing and shock protection properties are requried.
