As the festive lights brighten the streets of Birmingham, and we prepare to shut down for Christmas, we find ourselves reflecting on more than just our production targets and latest projects. At CB Frost & Co, this time of year is always a time to pause and consider our role within the community that has supported us for generations.
Christmas is certainly a time for celebration, but it also serves as a reminder that many people, families, animals, and the organisations that support them face significant challenges. We strongly believe that a business is only as strong as the community it calls home, so we have chosen to make donations towards making a tangible difference.
Our 2025 Christmas giving initiative is centred around our core values of respect, putting people first, and giving a contribution back to society. This year, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on four remarkable causes. From supporting those in need here in Birmingham, to supporting specialised medical research and animal welfare, these charities represent the best of the human spirit.
Learn more about the organisations we are donating to this year, and the vital work they do.
Birmingham Crisis Centre
For many, the Christmas holidays are a time of family and security, but for victims of domestic abuse, it can be the most dangerous time of the year. Birmingham Crisis Centre provides a safe haven for women and their children who are victims of domestic abuse.
Beyond providing emergency accommodation, Birmingham Crisis Centre also provides 24-hour helpline support and an on-site nursery to help children process trauma in a safe, stable environment. Their work doesn’t just offer an escape, they empower women to rebuild their lives with dignity.
SIFA Fireside
With temperatures dropping, the work of SIFA Fireside to tackle homelessness in Birmingham becomes even more vital. Based in our old home of Digbeth, they are the central hub for Birmingham’s homeless and vulnerably housed adults.
SIFA Fireside’s impact goes beyond providing hot meals and showers, they look at the individual. By supporting them, we are supporting their mission to provide a pathway out of homelessness through medical care, mental health support, employment workshops and legal advice.
The Big Shave: Raising Awareness for Loeys-Dietz Syndrome
We are supporting The Big Shave, a personal fundraising drive aimed at researching and raising awareness of Loeys-Dietz Syndrome (LDS), a rare genetic disorder discovered in 2006 that affects the connective tissues in the body, which can lead to life-threatening heart and blood vessel complications.
Funds for this cause go towards aortic research towards improving early detection, monitoring and treatment of people with LDS, and targeted awareness for medical professionals to recognise the early signs.
As a rare and little known disorder, we feel it is all the more important to support this cause to raise much needed funds and awareness.
Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries
Located just outside Birmingham on the Worcestershire border, Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries provides a lifelong home for rescued farm animals who have been neglected, mistreated or discarded. Home to over 300 residents, Goodheart provides hands-on rescue services, as well as an award winning education programme aimed at teaching the public about animal welfare.
Our donation goes towards funding Goodheart’s approach of rescue, education and advocacy, values that align with our belief that kindness should extend to all living creatures.
Thank You
While our ethos of “Quality Without Compromise” frequently refers to the gaskets, seals, and bespoke manufacturing solutions that are our speciality, the same standard must also apply to how we conduct ourselves as members of the wider Birmingham business community. We are proud to have grown alongside our city, and take pride in being measured not just by the products that leave our doors, but the positive impact we make.
None of what we do would be possible without our dedicated staff and loyal customers, so we would like to extend a note of thanks for the support we have received in 2025, which has in turn allowed us to extend support to others.
We wish our staff, customers, and the incredible teams at our chosen charities a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
Christmas Shutdown
Please note, CB Frost and Co will be closing for Christmas on Tuesday 23rd December, and we re-open for business as usual on Monday 5th January 2026.
