CB Frost's adhesive lamination machine uses a combination of heat, pressure and an internal roller mechanism to apply a thin plastic or adhesive layer to our range of products. The desired material is fed into the adhesive laminating machine and sandwiched until the adhesive layer is applied.
Adhesive lamination is the preferred joining process when a specific film composition cannot be effectively run in a coextrusion system due to equipment limitations or when the high temperatures required in coextrusion would be harmful to the film. Adhesive lamination is also preferred when the adhesive itself can provide additional functionality to the final product.
Products can be laminated with a pressure sensitive adhesive which can be applied to all our materials before being dispatched as rolls or sent to our conversion department for cutting.
Hot Melt Adhesives
We have a selection of hot melt adhesives which have be chosen by CB Frost to suit a wide range of applications, typical everyday adhesive tapes used are - low tac, high tac, scrim, high temperature and waterproof tapes, these can be applied to either one or both faces of the material. The adhesive comes with an easy peel release liner which you simply remove to expose the adhesive. This face is then placed onto the substrate and firmly pressed to obtain the bond needed.
At CB Frost we have vast experience in creating mouldings to a set specification for a range of industries. Our team are able to advise customers as to the best type of material to utilise for a particular project, and we aim to meet fast lead times at all times.
