CB Frost Awarded £60k Defence Industry Contract to Support the MoD

Following months of work, CB Frost has been awarded a £60k defence industry contract from MoD to support the British Army.

In 2019, a specific group of OEMs were selected to undertake key parts of the manufacturing process for the MoD’s new Boxer armoured vehicle. In addition to fabricating armoured vehicle structures, they were also responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of the finished Boxer vehicles. 

After more than 12 months of work by Business Development Manager Daniel Brock and Sales Coordinator Charlotte Homer, on the 27th May, CB Frost signed a long term contract to supply numerous rubber parts to the Ministry of Defence in support of this project. Not only will they be supplying parts for the mass build but will also be providing spare parts for the next 25 years, supporting the life of the vehicle.

On signing this MoD contract, Daniel Brock said:

CB Frost have been a supplier to the MoD for more than 50 years, so to be awarded a contract for the latest armoured vehicle is extremely exciting.  It’s also a testament to the work Charlotte has done and for her patience and perseverance over the last 12 months which has allowed CB Frost to put a successful package together.“

Charlotte Homer added:

“We were thrilled to find out CB Frost have won the contract for the new Boxer armoured vehicle and are looking forward to the future possibilities this could lead to. It has been a great learning experience and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with my Manager, Daniel, in building a lasting relationship with the customer. The Boxer is a state-of-the-art wheeled armoured vehicle that boasts the highest levels of protection and excellent mobility. More than 800 vehicles have so far been supplied to various NATO nations, and CB Frost are proud to be a supplier for MoD’s UK armoured vehicle programme.
