Gaskets
C B Frost is a long-established UK manufacturer of sponge, foam and rubber gaskets and seals.
With our in-house capabilities, all gaskets are manufactured at our site in Nechells, Birmingham. We convert a wide range of sheet materials to gaskets and seals, using a variety of cutting methods, including Die, High Speed, Kiss-cut and Water Jetting.
Our cutting facilities allows us to produce intricate gaskets in various sizes, flat pressed parts, washers and strips. This allows us to cater for quantities ranging from custom one offs to small, medium and large volumes.
For high volume gasket manufacturing, we have invested in an ultra-high speed gasket cutting machine, running at up to 100 strokes a minute and delivering the highest level of quality and precision.

Depending on your requirements, we can convert closed cell, open cell, semi-closed cell sponge, foam or solid rubbers into gaskets to suit any sealing, anti-vibration, noise or sound reduction application. With many years of experience in manufacturing and supplying gaskets, our sales team is on hand to provide advice on choosing the right gasket material to meet the requirements of your specific application.

As a preferred UK converter of Rogers Corporation products, we can supply their entire range of EN45545-2 approved materials, designed to improve reliability, efficiency and performance across speciality applications. With Rogers’ materials, we manufacture the highest quality of gaskets to meet the specific requirements of industries including Rail, Automotive, EV/HEV, HVAC, Aerospace, MoD, Construction, Agriculture, Lighting, Enclosures, and more.
Our gaskets are packed securely into suitable packaging and labelled in accordance with our customer requirements. Additional packing options such as barcoding, individual polybag, and cardboard are also available on request. For peace of mind that items will arrive safely, securely and in time, we offer the possibility of a door to door gasket service.

Our Gasket Manufacturing Capabilities
CB Frost can apply pressure sensitive adhesive to either one or both faces of gaskets and seals. We stock a wide range of synthetic and acrylic tapes with an easy peel release liner which can simply be removed to expose the adhesive. The face of the gasket can be placed on to the intended surface and pressed firmly to obtain a strong bond. Our sales team will help you to select the right adhesive laminate to ensure durability under the conditions your gasket will face.
For the ultra-high-speed processing of thinner materials which need to be through cut or kiss cut, our high-speed die cutting press provides a sophisticated but easy to use production solution. Running at up to 100 strokes per minute, the hydraulic operation, rigid construction, and precision depth of cut produce accurate components with a clean finish, ready to be packed and sent to customers immediately. As a result of the accuracy of the machine, scrap material is also much reduced, which will create considerable cost savings in the long term.

Advantages of Kiss Cutting
Kiss cutting has several advantages over individually cut through parts. Kiss cut, self-adhesive products can be rewound with the scrap web automatically being removed leaving a clean, finished component. Peeling the part off the adhesive release liner is considerably easier than removing the liner from an individual part, this helps increase production throughput.

In 2023, we invested in our own tool room, allowing us to manufacture all gasket die cutting formes in house, bringing all gasket manufacturing processes under one roof. Our in-house tooling facilities allow us to create custom dies to produce an extensive selection of pressed parts, including gaskets of all shapes and sizes, from small intricate designs, to large gasket seals.
We have the capabilities to produce small and large orders of gaskets in a lead time of 7-10 days. Should our customers require a faster turnaround, we will aim to improve production times where possible.
