HT800 has excellent resistance to ultraviolet light and ozone, combined with a considerable low and high temperature range. It’s a material commonly used to reduce shock, isolate vibration and provide protection against wind driven rain and fire in various outdoor communications, electronics and lighting enclosures whilst also working effectively up to IP66 and IP67.
HT800 Silicone foam is Fire Safe – approved to EN45545-2, BS6853 Cat 1A, UL94 approved to V-0 and HF-1 and is approved by and commonly utilised by TFL on the London Underground.
BISCO® BF2000 Silicone Foam
BF2000 Silicone foam is an Ultra-soft and highly compressible foam material with excellent memory and low stress relaxation properties. Due to its high compressibility, BF2000 Silicone foam can be compressed into awkward gaps and shapes, making it ideal for transportation, industrial and electronic applications where low closure force and dust sealing on doors are critical.
Further beneficial properties of BF2000 Silicone foam are its excellent resistance to ultraviolet light and ozone, as well as effective resistance to extreme temperatures, both low and high. These characteristics mean that BF2000 is well suited for outdoor applications.
BF2000 Silicone foam sheeting is Fire Safe – approved to EN45545-2, BS6853 Cat 1A and UL94 approved to V-0 and HF-1.
MF775 (FR8775) Silicone Rubber
MF775 (FR8775) is a grey 73 shore A low smoke, low toxic silicone rubber specifically designed to manufacture rubber components where fire safe materials are critical in application (Rail). It has excellent resistance to UV and ozone combined with resistance to extremely low and high temperatures (-55ºC to +200°C) making it suitable for outdoor use.
MF775 (FR8775) is widely used by TFL on the London Underground as approved to fire safety standards EN45545-2, BS6853 Cat 1A and UL94 V-0 / HF-1.
MF775 silicone rubber can be produced in 3 formats, rolls which can then be slit to width (strips) or punched (die-cut) to form a gasket using our overhead presses. Extruded to shape, from simple U channels to more complex sections and finally moulded to suit the light fitting you are trying to seal within or outside of the rail vehicle.
