The materials we covert from sheeting to strip are either closed cell, open cell, semi-closed cell sponge, foam or solid rubbers.
Cork has excellent resistance to various oils as well as good anti-vibration properties, which makes it a good material choice in various industries.
Neoprene/Nitrile Cork Strip
Excellent general-purpose material. Cork has a very low swelling in oils and fuels which makes it suitable for transformer applications.
Its toughness and good compressibility characteristics suit a wide a wide range of applications.
Nitrile Cork Strip
Economical grade of Cork, good flexibility and suitable for low and medium bolt pressure. These physical characteristics along with fuel and oil resistance makes Nitrile Cork a good general-purpose sealing material
Adhesive Backed Cork Strip
CB Frost can apply a pressure sensitive adhesive to either one or both faces of Cork. We stock a wide range of synthetic and acrylic tapes, our adhesive tapes come with an easy peel release liner which you simply remove to expose the adhesive. This face is then placed on to the substrate and firmly pressed to obtain the bond.
Lead-times
Our lead-time to supply Plain or Adhesive Backed Cork strip is 7-10 days, however CB Frost are flexible and work with our customers to ensure we meet their expectations.
Cork Strip Capabilities
CB Frost produce large quantities of Cork strip every year and cater for small, medium and large runs. Our slitting capabilities allow us to offer our customers a range of widths and can manufacture strip from 4mm wide.
Strip is supplied in coils. The length of each coil is based on the roll length, cork can be 5mtr or 10mtrs depending on thickness. We do have the facility to cut rolls into smaller lengths if required.
Coils are packed securely into suitable packaging and labelled in accordance with our customer requirements.
Cork strip is manufactured at our site in Nechells, Birmingham based in the West Midlands.
