The materials we covert from sheeting to gasket are either closed cell, open cell, semi-closed cell sponge, foam, or solid rubbers.
Gaskets can be produced in a variety of manufacturing processes including Die Cut, Water Jet Cut and Kiss cut. All services CB Frost cater for.
Gaskets are packed securely into suitable packaging and labelled in accordance with our customer requirements. Additional packing options such as barcoding, individual polybag, and cardboard separation are also available.
CB Frost also offer the possibility of a door to door service providing our customers with the peace of mind that items will arrive safely, securely and in time.
PORON® Urethane is UL certified for use as gasket material (ULJMST2) and for flammability (ULHBF). In addition to this, Poron® Urethane also has low outgassing characteristics and is UV stable, making it ideal for outdoor use. The main properties of PORON® Urethane are its excellent compression set and deflection characteristics; this means that PORON® Urethane gaskets keep their shape well.
Tooling
Tooling continues to be very important in the manufacture of die cut gaskets. Thanks to the company's long-standing history, we work with a variety of well-established tool makers in the West Midlands region.
Adhesive Backed PORON® Urethane Foam Gaskets
CB Frost can apply a pressure sensitive adhesive to either one or both faces of PORON® Urethane Foam. We stock a wide range of synthetic and acrylic tapes, our adhesive tapes come with an easy peel release liner which you simply remove to expose the adhesive. This face is then placed on to the substrate and firmly pressed to obtain the bond.
Lead-times
Our lead-time to supply Plain or Adhesive Backed PORON® Urethane Foam gaskets is 7-10 days (subject to stock availability), however CB Frost are flexible and work with our customers to ensure we meet their expectations.
PORON® Urethane Foam Gasket Capabilities
CB Frost produce large amounts of PORON® Urethane Foam gaskets every year and cater for small, medium, and large runs. Our manufacturing range includes Die Cut, Water Jet cut, Kiss cut, and High-Speed cutting processes providing our customers with a vast array of options dependent on the applications requirements.
Poron® Urethane Foam gaskets are manufactured at our site in Nechells, Birmingham based in the West Midlands.
